During your free initial general financial review, where the need arises, we will discuss our investment management options. This includes determining your attitude to risk and capacity for loss, as well as discussing ethical investment opportunities where required. We will then discuss the advantages and disadvantages of our two main investment management options, which are a bespoke portfolio or one of our own hybrid portfolios. While both strategies are available to all clients, suitability is typically assessed using the following flowchart:
Whilst our Hybrid Portfolio range is not available in all products due to their own functionality restrictions, we offer them in as many products as possible. Where this is not the case, we will discuss whether it would be best to implement a bespoke portfolio or to instead transfer to another product where the Hybrid Portfolios are available. Please note, email access is required for our Hybrid Portfolio service as your permission will be required for any changes recommended.
Furthermore, there are some investment product types which require a less active input from us in terms of investment management and as such neither of the above options are available. For these products, our ongoing advice fee is reduced to reflect this.
Accountant Liaison Service
Let us help reduce the burden of your annual tax return. When investing with us, at the end of each tax year we will provide you with a summary of the income and gains from all of your investments. We will also confirm any pension contribution amounts, as well as several other financial planning matters which need to be reported to HMRC. This pack will include all the information relating to your investments with us and can be passed straight on to your accountant.
With your permission we can even liaise directly with your accountant to provide this information and answer any queries they may have, without inconveniencing you at all. Our Accountant Liaison Service is included as part our ongoing service at no additional cost.
Ethical Investing
With an increasing awareness of the impact investing can have (both positive and negative) on the environment and society as a whole, many investors are wishing to manage the impact of their own portfolios. During your free initial general financial review, we will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of investing ethically. If you have specific ethical preference, we can even create a bespoke portfolio just for you, which matches your investment objectives and attitude to risk.
The value of your investments and the income from them can go down as well as up and is not guaranteed at any time. You may not get back the full amount you invested. Past performance does not guarantee future performance. Financial planning is a complex area which varies greatly depending on individual circumstances, and holistic independent financial advice should be sought prior to making any changes.
